  Clara M. Crutcher, age 88, passed away at her home, November 05, 2016 inLillian, Alabama surrounded by her family. She was born January 25, 1928 in Jackson, Tennessee to the late Howard Allen Crutcher, Sr. and Clara Annie Collins Crutcher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Horace Crutcher, Howard Allen Crutcher, Jr. and James Edward Crutcher. Ms. Crutcher retired from AT&T after 38 ½ years of service and was a member of Lillian First Baptist Church. She enjoyed listening to music and loved receiving photos of her friends and family. Unknown to many people, Clara had the talents of sketching and drawing. She often shared her gift ofencouragement through beautifully handwritten letters usually signed with a simple yet meaningful and powerful word – Love. She was loved by and will be dearly missed by all of her friends and family. Ms. Crutcher is survived by her daughter, Kim Friedberg of Palm BeachShores, FL; her niece, Donna Herron of California and her "Puddy Tat" Betty Ann Roe of Jackson, TN. In addition to these loved ones, she is also survived by a special niece Gloria Crutcher Young. Clara helped raise Gloria and became one of her main cheerleaders, critics, advisors, and counselors, as well as being the same for Gloria's husband Greg, daughter Aimee, son Kyle and granddaughter Parker. Services will be held Wednesday, November 9th at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapelat 3:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Josh Thompson of Lillian First Baptist Church will be officiating.  Pallbearers will be Greg Young, Kyle Young, Raul Mojica, Thomas Hampton,Scott Joseph and Gene Valentz.
