DOROTHY MCNAIR COMERFORD 1929 - 2016 
  Dorothy McNair Comerford passed away into her heavenly home surrounded by her loving family and Covenant Care on November 8, 2016 after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Dorothy was born on August 18, 1929 in Pensacola, FL to Clarence and Claudia McNair. She attended Escambia County Schools, graduating from Pensacola High School in the class of 1947. On June 6, 1947 she married Angus Comerford. They were married for 69 years and raised their family in Pensacola. Dorothy was employed by Federal Civil Service for 23 years and retired as a Production Controller in 1989. Dorothy attended Myrtle Grove Baptist Church for most of her life and was the church pianist at the age of 13. She was more recently a member of Plainview Baptist Church on Nine Mile Road in Pensacola. She was also a 50year member of Myrtle Grove Chapter 302 of Order of Eastern Star. She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Claudia McNair, son Alan Comerford, Brothers; Bert McNair, Donald McNair, and sisters; Agnes Larsen and Maxie Server. She is survived by her husband, Angus Comerford; her daughters, Linda (Ray) Storm of Clermont, FL and Suzanne (Jack) Bartles of Smithfield, VA; grandchildren, Christopher Storm of Shingleton, MI, Diane Shores of Suffolk, VA, Kimberly (Justin) Hurst of Charleston, SC and Lindsay (Erik) Kemp of Broomfield, CO; great grandsons, Easton and Mason Shores of Suffolk, VA and Emory Kemp of Broomfield, CO and many nieces, nephews and friends living in the southeastern United States. Active pallbearers will be Christopher Storm, John Hartley, Melvin Langham, Randy Langham, J.R. Williams, and Paul Maddox. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard McKee, Wayne Maddox, Ray Storm, Jack Bartles, Ken Weekley and Hugh Cleveland. A visitation will take place at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 10:00 AM until the service begins at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
